Interior design and consultancy

I work across a range of residential interiors, from focused advice on a particular room or design decision to the development of a whole house.

Sometimes a client needs another pair of eyes: help with a difficult layout, a colour scheme, materials, furniture or the decisions that come with a renovation. Sometimes they want someone to take a broader view, developing an interior from the bones of the house through to the furniture, lighting, art and objects that make it their own.

I also work with architects, designers and creative businesses where an interior perspective can contribute to a wider project.

My approach is instinctive but informed by my time working with interiors.

I’m interested in proportion, colour, materials and atmosphere, but also in the less tangible things that make a place feel right: what is kept, what is changed, what is gathered over time and how a home supports the people who live in it.

Consultation

A focused session for those who want experienced eyes on a particular design question. We can look at a room, layout, colour, materials, furniture or a decision that needs resolving, giving you greater clarity about what to do next.

At Home

A more immersive visit to your home, looking at the spaces in context and exploring their possibilities together. We can consider the architecture, how the rooms connect, what is working and where thoughtful changes could make the greatest difference.

Interior Design

For larger projects requiring more comprehensive involvement, I develop the design from the initial concept through to the finished interior. The scope is tailored to the house, the project and the level of involvement needed.

The scale of the work may change; the level of thought does not.

Our signature design process

Enquire

Tell me a little about your project, your home and what you’re looking for. I’ll come back to you to understand what would be most useful.

Talk

We’ll have an initial conversation about the project, what you’d like to achieve and the kind of input you need. For some projects, this may be enough to establish the next step; for others, we’ll arrange a consultation or site visit.

Develop

Once we’ve agreed the scope of work, I’ll develop the design direction, advice or wider scheme according to the service we’ve chosen together.

Take it forward

You’ll leave with a clear sense of what has been decided and what comes next. Depending on the project, I can continue to develop the work with you or hand over the direction for you or your team to implement.

Tell me about your project

A house, a room, a renovation or simply an idea you’re beginning to explore.

Send me a little about what you have in mind, where you are in the process and what you’re looking for. I’ll come back to you with a sense of how I might be able to help and what the next step could be.
