Paint effects are certainly nothing new but I feel until recently they have been overlooked as dated or undesirable. The image above is from the Musee des Art Decoratifs in Paris and it reminded me of the power of the paintbrush in creating this blue, naive paint effect, I’m dying to try this in a project.
